Nermin Sabanovic “The Bosnian Dragon” was born in the former Yugoslavia.

Nermin was introduced to boxing from a very young age.  While in Yugoslavia, Nermin was celebrated as an Olympic and National Champion.  Prior to the Bosnian War, Nermin achieved great success in his pursuit for boxing excellence.

Prior to fleeing a war-torn country Nermin competed in over 360 fights.  Some of his achievements are:

• Yugoslavia National Boxing Team
• 9 time National Champion
• 8 time Golden Globe winner
• 2 time Olympian
• Australian Former Cruiserweight Champion

On Nermin’s arrival to Australia he switched his focus from fighting and found a new passion in training young fighters to become champions.

After 10 years of training fighters Nermin stepped back in the ring at the age of 42 to pursue a professional career successfully becoming:

• The Australian Cruiser Weight Champion
• Super Cruiser Weight Champion
• Opbf Champion

Nermin’s enthusiasm and commitment to young fighters and helping them succeed in the ring is second to none.  He has trained young men to become Olympians and has worked with many well-known fighters.  Nermin is one of the most passionate, experienced, and technical boxing trainers in the game today.
